On the heels of the Cash For Clunkers program comes word from Washington that 300 million dollars is ear marked for a "Cash For Refrigerators" program.
Thinking ahead a bit, will it be long before the government offers a "Cash For Stick Burners" program that will pay you to scrap those old, outdated, inefficient wood log burning smokers to purchase a new high efficiency pellet smoker? We can only hope.

I like it. It will help clean up the environment; those things put out a tremendous amount of smoke and ash.

At the last contest I was next to a fellow making his own charcoal using chunks of wood and big charcoal starting tubes. I still smell like smoke.
