You gotta try some pecan...it is really nice on beef...like brisket or pastrami. Heck, it's good on almost anything for that matter.

Yeah, I find myself mixing Cherry with most everything, along with Oak!
I already won 10 lbs of the stuff, so I'll probably hit it again.

I like oak. Around here in Eastern NC there is a small scrubby oak called black jack oak that a lot of people call BBQ wood. I have always eaten pork cooked off oak, so lean that way when I need some smoking wood. Also keep a supply of pecan and hickory.
