I still buy my FS brand bags (in rolls) from Walmart. I know they cost a bit more, but Ive tried other brands bags and was not happy with the quality, thickness of the plastic, or the number of bags I had to reseal.
Our Sam's usually has the rolls in quanity. I can't remember if they were three or five to a pack.
Sunday night I ran out with one slab of baby backs left to do. I had food save rolls on a shelf in the garage, but had one roll of Great Value from Walmart on a lower shelf so I grabbed it. It actually seemed to be heavier plastic than the food saver rolls.
I have both in front of me now. The FS are noticeably heaver and stiffer and shiny in appearance.I have used the Walmart roll too little as yet to make a performance comparison. The bulk quantity offered at Amazon Are not FS but seem identical to the Walmart material. dick.
I buy my FS rolls on ebay. Buy several boxes and save. You can usually find someone selling the 11"X18' rolls - 3 boxes (6 rolls total) for about $40 including shipping.
I had bad results with the no-name brands so I've been sticking with FS. JD
I have thought about giving these a try next time I need some. Their feedback from users is very good, which I always look at when buying on ebay. If anyone reading this has tried these, how have they worked?
I haven't tried them but here is a link to FS brand rolls. You can get 3 boxes of 11"X18' (108' total) for a couple dollars less when you figure in shipping.
