Actually he did even better than that. Although you're proud of his pork entry as I'm sure you've given him a little MiM help doing shoulders. He told me how fresh the pork was.

Just saw the results, so thought I'd put them here.

He got called in all four categories. I KNOW he's pumped about that.

He did GREAT for a first contest. Knew that guy could cook. He just picked a contest with four teams that have been winning all year.

And because the guy is a great friend, I'll point out that he beat Head Country II in two categories. Pretty, pretty impressive.

Well, he's hooked.

Papa called and he's entering the Sapulpa contest in two weeks and we're going to try to get our spots side by side.

Should be fun. Maybe I'll tell everyone about Mike's FIRST contest, helping Stuart and I cook chicken at an ABA contest in Shreveport...or should I say char the chicken

We've both come a long way since that day.

Sapulpa is a nice contest! Sorry I won't be there this year.

Shreveport was cold! Burnt my electric Charbroil Caddie up using it for heat.
