I have a smokette electric smoker and it tends to give ribs more or a oven cooked look. I would like to get more bark on the rib. Does anyone have a suggestion?

What’s in your rub? Try a rub with a little more sugar Try opening the Smokette a few times during the smoke to dump moisture, but it will lengthen the cooking time
Another option would be to finish them (15 minutes or so) in a pre-heated 425 oven, or a medium-hot fire on a charcoal grill. In either case, watch 'em like a hawk.
I raised the heat , used more sugar in my rub, raised the temp the two hours 250, only wrapped for 1hr prior and left off the sauce during cooking. The ribs had a nice dark crust and were the best tasting I have ever made in the smokette. thanks for the tips!
