Well, picked it up and brought it home. It is much bigger than I expected! All we could do to get it out of the truck. No problem at all firing it up. started at 180 for about 30 min, then up to 240, then moved up to 340 and then let it fall down to 140 and held there for a couple of hours -- about 5 total hours to break it in. Tin foiled it good first. Did have quite a few sparks popping out of the fire box, esp at higher temps. Wonder if that is hazordous if any grease is in there? Anyhow, something's getting smoked tommorow!

Sparks will fly a bit. Always a good idea to keep the bottom of the smoke box clean, as well as the drip pan and lower right side grease channel. Also, keep an eye on the under side hotel pan.

One other maintenance reminder, vacuum/clean the pellet fire pot after every 2-3 uses. Spent pellet ash builds up.

Other than that, go smoke something and have a blast. You're gonna love it. Any questions...holler back. We're here to help.

oh, forgot to mention, the cover and probe were on backorder. They shipped today, so will probally get them next week. They are calling for rain tommorow and Sunday, so I'll have to cover it up somehow as it's an outside animal!

Plastic trash bag over the hopper and controller work wonders.
