I was discussing butt with a friend (pork butt) and was wondering...has anyone tried to injected apple juice or any other liquid a few hours into or late in the smokin process? Thanks for any response.

Not sure what you are cooking/smoking with. With my Smokette, I inject before putting the meat in the smoker, then just set it and forget it. (wait for the temp alarm to go off)

There is one top MIM shoulder cook that re-injects at the halfway point.

Haven't heard of anyone else doing it.
