Gus's Fried Chicken!!! Some people love Rendezvous Ribs, the couple times I've been there they were terrible. I won't be going back. The best BBQ I've had in Memphis was actually in Mississippi. The Memphis BBQ Company in Horn Lake MS, south on I55 about 15-20 minutes, Melissa Cookston's place. Pig on Beale was pretty good stuff. Also heard good things about Marlowe's, Interstate BBQ & Central BBQ, but haven't eaten at any of them yet.
Flying Saucer has a whole lot of beers, it's near the Peabody. If I recall, Memphis Made Brewing has brewery tours on the weekends. Speaking of the Peabody, stop in and see the ducks. The lobby bar has a lot of good bourbons/whiskeys. Expensive though. Their signature cocktail is good, forget what it's called. Basically a peach sour made with Jack Daniels Single barrel whiskey.
Dyer's if you like greasy burgers, allegedly cooked in 100 year old grease.
