Net Bags for Ham

First time to cure my own hams. I have two in the frig right now.

Are the net bags I hear about readly available on short notice, and are they really necessargy?

I have never smoked any hams but I use the netted bags on my turkeys and turkey breasts. It seems to help with the overall appearance of the finished product.

BTW, I purchased mine from Allied Kenco. They have a website.
