Papashaka's trailer ...

Papashaka and Smokin' Okie did well at the Sapulpa (OK) cookoff this weekend. Congratulations to papa for his second in ribs and to Smokin' for his first in chicken and ribbons for brisket and pork. Mrs. Smokin' did a fabulous job on the boxes.

Papa's trailer is a converted horse trailer with two FEC100's and all the comforts of home. Two undercounter refrigerators, a work counter, a sink, a big Cambro. The trailer is air conditioned and has a queen size bed over the gooseneck. There's even a bathroom with a shower. Everything is very well organized and thought out. The outside has custom graphics done by papa's daughter Carrie, who is a professional designer and decal-maker, so it looks very impressive.

I noticed that papashaka and Smokin' were using their notebooks from the Fast Eddy class. Smokin' has photos of everything he has turned in this year.

I enjoyed the opportunity to be around two good competitors for a day.

Thanks for the kind words. Hope you survived, it was a VERY hot day, thank goodness Papa has A/C.
