Pellet usage...

I have been thinking about a FEC 100 for some time but would like to know about the pellet usage. Can anyone tell me how much in lbs. is consumed per hour of cooking at 225 deg? I have looked everywhere in the information available and there is no mention of the usage which translates to the cost of operating the unit. It must not be much of a factor because I haven�t heard anyone complain about it. But still important information for me...Thanks

Seems like my old non IQ burns about 1 lb/hr,and my IQ4 about 40% less.

If we pay around $15/40 lb bag,you can figure.

I know we'll run it for a 24 hr cookoff and never add any pellets.

I guess if you were running a building full of 100 s,you'd pay more attention?

If I use the Cookshack price of 12.00 for 20 lbs. it comes out to less than 5.00 for an 8 hr cook so that's not bad. Good information…Thanks

I'm not sure, but that price is probably without shipping (which will vary how far you are). Buy in bulk and keep the shipping costs down.
