One of my wife's co-workers gave her a piece of smoked Tofu which she liked and now she wants me to smoke some for her. Any thoughts on how to do so? Thinking a cold smoke process similar to cheese would be the way to go, but would appreciate any help. In reading the Tofu packages, it seems to have a very short shelf life after opening the package (ie. just a few days).

I tend to agree with Tofu in smoker comments, but as they say, "Happy Wife = Happy Life"!
Yes I do have the baffel for my smoker - use it when I smoke cheese.
I already tried the "Find" button (for this portion of the Forum), which resulted in only one post that was talking about the origins of BBQ and that mentioned Tofu-land, better know as California.
Hoping Mr. T might give his 2-cents worth on this.... He has smoked many things, and I say that with utmost respect for his wealth of knowledge.

Suggest you use the method below to capture the smoke exiting your smoker. You could use something as simple as a cardboard box and a steamer rack, colander or other type of rack. The tofu won't need much smoke.
