I am having a superbowl party with about 25 guys coming. I am trying to figure out the volume of food I need to make. I figure they will be there for 10 hours.

I am thinking about 60lbs of pulled pork (store weight) and having a couple of types of soups. We will smoke some pizza's later with the pulled pork on them. Is this the right amount of pork? These a big boys that like to eat (and drink...is 1 keg enough?) This should be a little over 1 lb per person. Should I make more?

I gotta tell ya, bro, that from my perspective you've got enough food to feed 100 guys----and that's just with the PORK. If you figure even 1 lb of meat per person you've got 25 lbs. 1 lb of meat is a LOT of meat at a party, considering they've got other things to eat and drink. You're serving them 2.4 lbs of meat per person. PLUS soup. PLUS pizza. Plus whatever!

Save yourself some money, some time and some work. Cut that pork in half. Forget the soup--it'll go begging (who wants soup when you can have pulled pork and pizza?)

Oh, and invite me to this party! (except I'm having my own----35 lbs of pulled pork for 25 people---no soup, no pizza, just pork, cole slaw, baked beans and beer.
Sounds like plenty of pork to me. If they're going to be there 10 hours, maybe make some other stuff too, like smoked almonds or jalapeno poppers, maybe some ribs or chicken wings, then you could cut back on the amount of pork. Bring out something different every couple of hours.
