Well the bad boy "PG500" got here.

Well it ran just fine. Medium rain right now. I guess it was ok to do it he the rain : )
In Gulf coast area you will get rained on every now then : )

I was just smart enough not to check on the pellets : ) The lid was not opened during the rain.
I guess that's the main thing not to do if one does get caught in the rain.

Rain is fine, just keep ANY water from getting in the pellet hopper. Wet Pellets are very, very bad (when they dry they create PelletCrete)

Thank you SmokinOkie. I knew wet was not good and I didn't know what the end results it would have on the compressed wood.

I put the $$$ nice FEPG500 cover on it last night after everything had cooled down.

I am going to have to go over the unit and deburr it. It was snagging a lot putting it over the unit. Had 3 or 4 areas that need a little clean up.

I have some strong winds right now with no rain, So I'm doing some baked potatoes and a few Polish beef links just for hec . ) I have to start somewhere.

God willing, Smoked Chickens tomorrow I guess : )
