wood for brisket?

I use hickory myself.

Although we use hickory,I also like pecan-the slightly milder nutwood.

I make no claims as to the great brisket.

Hickory is a good all purpose wood for most anything, but I prefer Mesquite on brisket and most other beef. Caution! It is a strong wood and will have a bitter taste if to much smoke is used. Start a little light and adjust to your taste.

50% hickory, 50% pecan
