I will be smoking 4 pork butts tonight that I purchased from Sam's Club and I just had a few questions:
1. Should I put each one on a separate rack?
2. Will the cooking time increase with four?
3. Should I rotate them one time, top to bottom?
4. Should I use more wood? I have been using about 4 oz when I do one or two butts.
5. What racks should I use? Should I avoid the bottom rack if I want them done around the same time?
So far I haven't had any problems but I an alittle nervous about doing the four a one time. Thanks for your help.

Big Chubba,
I'm no pro BUT I'll give it a shot .. What smoker are you cooking with ??

1. Depend's on how big they are, I've put two per shelf before. Fat side up.
2. My experience has been shorter time's with a full smoker.
3. It might be nessesary, do you have a couple of remote thermometers ??
4. You could use a "Tad" more wood, depends on the wood. Fruit wood would be most forgiving.
5. Hard to say, I've had the top rack done before the bottom hence the remote probes.

Don't be nervous just allow yourself PLENTY of time you can alway's wrap and cooler to hold. ..I'm sure a PRO will jump in here with more, better info.
