Advice on Amazen tube pellet smoker in FEC120

I own a FEC 120 and want to supplement smoke with tube to get more smoke. Where is the best place to place the tube and what size of tube is best.

I have a FEC 100 and use the long (? 18 inch) tube. I place it in the middle lengthwise. My reasoning is:
1. Keep it away from the door gasket
2. @ the back grease can drip on it and catch fire (live & learn

).

CS now has a shelf for wood chunks for the 100 that may also fit the 120?
