Amerique probe

I just got a new Amerique not directly from Cookshack. My Amerique looks different from pictures I have seen in that the probe connection hole is on the side of the top controller and not on the front. Is this an older version? Thanks!

Got mine in April and that's where the probe connects to unit.
Got from Charcoal Store, great guys.

Congrags on new smoker, now start smoking.

If you just got it, that's the latest design. CS builds to order, then have zero space.

And it just sounds like a new method of placement, same smoker, same probe.

Not to beat a dead horse, but my new Amerique has the thermo probe port on the right as well. Cooker - yours should have a date of manufacture on a sticker on the door. Mine was made on 6/23/09 - the latest and greatest.

Thanks everyone my date of manufacture is 06/29/2009 just putting wood in it to season. Bought beef brisket last night and here we go as soon as it is ready to cook.
