Thanks for the replies. I should have been more specific with my original post, and I elaborate here only for future searches and reference.
It is definitely the electrical motor. When my unit first went down I simply noticed the fuse was blown. After replacing the fuse a few times and watching it blow, I started to trouble-shoot it myself. The firs thing I found a problem with was the auger. Reason being, I removed the auger unit and physically tried to turn it. It wouldn't budge. I then removed the auger from the electric motor and the auger was fine - it would turn, albeit slowly because of the gear assembly. Double check - the pin is fine. I even opened the gear assembly to check that out and found nothing wrong.
So I assumed the auger was
the problem and called Tony. His initial thoughts were that the igniter was bad or possibly the board. Removed the igniter wires and inserted the 4th $3.75 fuse and it still blew. Then he had me remove wires from each part to locate the problem. After a few more fuses I determined that the electric fan induction motor was causing the fuses to blow. So I ordered one from Traeger and when it arrived I installed that and tried to fire it up again. I placed a few pellets in the fire pot and fired it up. It ignited fine and no fuses blew, but there was another problem...
Now the auger was not turning. So my initial troubleshooting was somewhat correct in that there was indeed a problem with the auger. Tony emailed me the auger elec motor part number, etc., but I have been far too busy this week to even order it yet, but will do so today.
Obviously my unit is an older one (05), but it's just used at home, less than a dozen times a year. Kind of time consuming maintenance for something used so little relative to the use some get in restaurants, and certainly a PITA when you have a large crowd expected over for a graduation party with Q.
