Controller Problem

I replaced my controller (Traeger, not IQ) today as the other one was shot. I hooked up everything the way the old one came out, but now when I turn it on, the display reads "510" and doesn't change. Anyone have a suggestion. Thanks.

Did you buy it from CS? Call Customer Service.

Not sure what a 501 error is.

The temp probe isn't hooked up properly if it's reading 510. Or the probe could be bad.

If you bought it from Cookshack, call Bill at 1-800-423-0698 and he will get it working from you. If it's a Traeger controller, you will probably have to contact them as our IQ controllers are not the same.

I spoke with Bill, a new new controller is on the way (great customer service). When I received this one, the LED screen was bent back some, hopefully this was the problem and not a bad temp probe. Thanks.

Sorry, I should have said earlier, the controller is on a FEC and yes, I bought it from Cookshack.
