Cookshack Owners - leave unit outside or not?

Please excuse the noob question, but I have an Amerique on the way. I also ordered a cover for it. I planned on leaving it on the deck (outside) next to my other smokers and grills. This deck is NOT covered....I am in Richmond, so not exactly the tropics, but we do get rain...do most of you all leave the unit outside (covered when not in use of course) or smoke out of the garage, etc? Thanks for the help!

I left my 150 outside for 4 years, with the cover. Has the same electronics. Just keep the cord from getting wet and normal precautions and it will be fine.

Mine have all set on an uncovered patio,at the beach in S Fl with their covers,for years.

Even in our hurricane season,unless we evacuate.
