The ribs were a huge moral victory. I've been struggling and working hard on my ribs since switching from my Traeger grill to the FEC-100 at the GAB. I went from top five ribs in five straight contests to bombing hard. It has taken me seven contests to get back on track. I think I've finally figured out how I needed to change my process for the cooker. I haven't had a first in ribs since 2005. A great feeling.

Candy's pecan pellets is another big change I've made the last three contests. Love the pecan, which is saying a lot being a long time hickory guy.
