Received a replacement fan for my fec100. I noticed after installing that it is a two speed fan and either runs on high or low, never shuts completely off. Is this normal?

Mine does the same thing, I assume its normal

Depends on the controller (at least on my models). The IQ4 will shut it off and run it only as needed. The old traeger style controller runs constantly.
mine runs full speed when getting up to temp. after it reaches the set temp it seems to run at about 25% of full speed
