So far I am loving this cooker. I only did some chicken today, but wanted to cook something while seasoning the cooker. Not sure if its needed but I did coat the inside with Pam like I have my other pits.
Couldn't tell for sure so maybe you did this already but don't forget to put a full size foil pan inside your drip pan for easy clean up. I didn't and that was one trip to the car wash that I could have done without!
Luckily it cleaned up easy with just chicken the first run. I did indeed put foil in the bottom today for the ribs, and looks like that was a good call for sure.
Ribs were over done for comp, but man did the family eat them up. Its funny, Ribs is the only meat that when you over cook them they are still great. Fall off the bone, melt in your mouth kind of ribs today.
No need to pam it. The stainless will take on the smoke real well. I never clean it back to the stainless. I just clean the racks and knock off the crude if there is any that sticks to the walls.
