FEC-100 on location.

Looks like a nice setup...advice would be, make sure your smoker is always level. This is something that I have learned!

Thanks, I have several pieces of plywood in 3/4 and 1/4 thickness. I try my best to level the porch with jackstands and plywood but also will use the plywood for the FEC100 lets.

For the BBQ shed, I took off the elbow and spent time today getting her perfectly level.

Yup, level FEC's do help (don't ask)

How level? Mine is in my yard and leans a little to the right and back just a tad. Grease seems to be draining fine.
What other problems might I see?

I'd say if you aren't having grease problems and not lots of pellets in the bottom, you should be fine at home....but a young comp cook that is trying to cook all his products on one FEC could run into some unwanted timing issues, which would cause him to become a "situational cook". The need for that was covered by David , our fine instructor, in the CS comp class.

Well, I do have pellets on the bottom of the smoker.
