Has anyone ever made rib racks for the FEC 500, if so how well did they work and can you tell how you made them and any problems with them.

Are you just trying to cook more than you can fit on 15 racks in a 500? Or just looking for a rib rack method?
If you use the three shelfs per and put ribs on them, there isn't enough vertical space to add a rib rack except Maybe on the top.

I have not used rib racks in the 500. But I did in the Kingfisher I had. I didn't like the way they worked. A little hard to get the ribs in and out, depending on the size ofthe ribs. Like Okie asked, do you need more capacity than the 15 racks will hold at one time. That was why I bought the 500, so as not to have to stand the ribs on edge. I can get at least 60 racks per load. Do you need more???

The FEC500 will do 105 st louis cut pork ribs.
Fast Eddy, is that 105 with the rib racks, or just the shelves. I was also looking to bump up the capacity of ribs on the FEC 500, i thought if i took the middle rack out i'd have enough room for rib racks on the top and bottom shelf, i want to be able to do lots of ribs, but still need room in the smoker for my chickens.
Thats laying flat.
I wouldn't doubt what Eddy says about the Ribs in the 500 because I can get 60 St Louis racks in the 300
