This morning I smoked some sharp cheddar along with some other cheeses. Smoked cheese goes very will with a West Coast Double IPA. I am sitting here enjoying Sculpin from a brewery here in San Diego.
I am wondering if we have any other craft beer fans here and do you pair your BBq with beers? What works for you?

I've tried a couple of IPA's but definitely not a conisuer. I head out your way every summer for a couple of weeks in July. I always try to hit up this greasy pizza joint in Ocean Beach that has a couple hundred taps hanging from the ceiling. They change out their kegs once a week and always seem to have allot of local flavors on tap. Can't remember the name of the place but the pizza is not to bad.
Don't know about beer pairngs for BBQ. I like to keep the beer light in flavor to let the Q shine through.

Love beer though... I'm not a hoppy guy, don't like bitter beer.

Fan of German and Tapist beers. Latest is "Gulden Drakk" which has a little of a honey finish and is almost 11% alcohol.
