Igniter replacement

Has anyone replaced thier igniter yet? I got a replacement from cookshack, was told there are 2 screws on the end of the firepot? Mine is sealed with red sealer. do i need to cut all of it out to disassemble the firepot? reseal when finished? thanks in advance!

Yup, cut the sealer out and then you can pull the end piece off.

Thanks Smokin, you guys are fast on the replies! Do I need to reseal? I assume so, is it hi temp gasket sealer from auto parts store?

That's something they started doing recently. Not sure what to seal it up with. You can always put it back together, then call CS on Monday and ask them. Let us know what they say.
