My heartfelt thanks to pags for the inspiration and the recipe for greek rub and a fabulous greek leg of lamb.

After trying both recipes I posted an artcle for my local butcher shop's monthly newsletter snd they thought it was good enough to include for their March newsletter.

Hope you like it, too

Who's Leonard?

And why haven't you posted THAT picture here?
Tells us a lot about you Wink

And the only thing we ask if you use anyone's recipe, give them a plug (the recipe owner) and the forum too (there was a mention of both and they cut them out, that happens). A little publicity is a nice thing.
Wow, Leonard. Nice pic of you and your pup! How fun!!! Have fun spending you $50 bucks.

That lamb looked fabulous. Thank you Pags for a wonderful rub mix. I am gonna make that for dinner in the next week. I think I am going to my local market this weekend with a list Smiler Correction: What was I thinking, I am going to RD for a leg of lamb Big Grin
Smokin. Que n RN pm'd me and asked if he could use my recipe for the contest. I gladly agreed and didn't expect nor really want a plug. He did all the work. He and his bud, Boris. Big Grin I forgot about it so it was great to see his followup.

I got the Greek Rub recipe off the internet, and when first posted here, gave appropriate credit. The olive oil/untie/retie thing I obtained from the greatest living Greek Cook I know...mom. And she didn't get that title until Yia Yia (Greek for grandma) passed.

Actually, mom's rub recipe is a lot simpler than the one I use and has a more dramatic Greek flair IMHO. I think all the different spices in mine somewhat offset each other and tame the flavors. She recently shared it with me, so I'm going to experiment with it and will share when appropriate.

Dang. I've got a ton of rubs.

Leonard be the Que'n RN from Denver.

You had me worried, I thought I forgot to post my leg of lamb pictures. I was mighty proud of that leg of lamb. They were originally posted
to Pags Greek Boneless Leg of Lamb thread dated 12/9/11, I posted them 1/2/12 (Tells you a lot about me!)

I'm becoming more and more passionate about my smoking and want to show off my wares any chance I get.

Thanks for reminding me about the plug. my bad there.

Thank you to everyone for your support of myself and one another.

Leonard (better known as Que'n RN)
