Thanks Tom. You're a one of my favorite contributors to the forum. This will be great. A trip is planned from W. MI to Ponce City in early December for the CS Cooking Class. And a stop in KC while enroute is in order.

My only problem with that list, is that it's about marketing, it's a simple list (but when they quote Playboy saying Arthur's is one of America's best....you'll get a LOT of discussion on that topic...Arthur's, not Playboy) LOL

I agree Bryant's is a great BBQ historical outing. They've lacked consistency for many years now and you never know what you're gonna get. Lots of places in the burbs of K.C. that live up to the K.C. standard. One of my favorites is the Filling Station in Lee's Summit Mo. Fantastic ribs and burnt ends on texas toast very good as well. The place has that perfect smokey smell when you walk in too.
