My original thoughts about the KCBS boards action on banning pellet cookers was correct. The conversation lasted about thirty seconds. Pellet cookers are alive and well.

Competition BBQ is about making choices, the cooker, the fuel, seasonings and techniques is what sets teams apart. No one tells you have to select a certin style of cooker, it's up to you to decide. Asking a sanctioning body to protect you from your choices seems like wrong thinking to me.
