i just got my smo25 electric smoker on friday . put it together and went to start it up for the party and it keeps reading prb couldnt cook with it was a real bummer does anyone have an answer? called support but they didnt have an answer for me.

I only have an 09, so this is only a guess.
PRB is probably short for Probe. I would guess your probe isn't seated.
I agree with LonzinomakerCS's guess, but I have a 066 with a separate probe readout on the display. If my probe is not connected, it says "no probe." This just reverts to cooking by time. Don't know if the 025 has something similar. I do note the 025 manual is silent on this display readout. Wish I could be of more help. I'd encourage you to try CS customer service again.
That is the code for a problem. In most cases it is the yellow probe connection that caused the error. I would check your connections and if that does not fix it give cookshack a call and we can assist.
