I just got my Food Saver, great tool. I know most of you never have any leftovers because it's all gone the first day. But there are usually only 2 -4 of us and we leave some for another day. I need some guidance as to how to reheat in Food Saver Bags. If you microwave do you punch holes in the bag before. If you boil the bags, how long should it take. I know pulled vs whole and butts and brisket will be different but just looking for a clue. TIA

I put small quantities in a FS, not whole products. I boil to reheat. Time is subjective as it depends on if it's frozen or you thaw it in the fridge and how much you put in a bag.

If you put a frozen in boiling water, it should be fine in 30 min. What you can do is insert a thermometer and make sure it's up to temp if you need to, but do it with a small hole so water doesn't seep in.
My unit is one of their latest models, the new upright. Bought it in May or so.

Just found that gentler vs full bore (like I typically do things) gave me better results. I only lost the seal once when I figured reheating at lower temp vs high might work better. Haven't had a problem since. Of course, the seal break occurred early on and could have been a user problem when I was learning the unit.
Well, while we're admitting stuff, I don't "boil" the FS bags either. Usually a single portion out of the fridge (not frozen) goes into a bowl with water from the "insta-hot" faucet and left alone for 15 minutes it's just right. And in a pot of water I'd never go above a slow simmer...just enough to keep the water hot. I'm just as careful...maybe more so...with things out of the freezer.
