This stuff is very good..cheap and can sub for cole slaw and/or tater salad as a side dish for any occasion. Health conscious folks can leave off the MSG and add a little more more seasoned salt. Very good compliment to smoked meat. McCormick Season All does a great job subbing for the Lawrys.

Susan and Hubby Steve are big comp bbq cooks in this area and she made this a lot for snacking at cookoffs. She say the original recipe came from a Ladies type magazine which she done forgot which one. We have took large batches of it to various fish frys..crawdad boils etc. Never came home with any left. It multiplies very well..just need to play the amount of mayo by ear. If you decide to make it kindly report back on whether you found it fitting. Thanks.
Bigwheel was kind enough to give this about a decade ago.My wife/co cook says their women's club got this from a magazine and it used McCormick's Salad Seasoning.
We are from such a poor area of the South that they couldn't get Lawry's at The Dollar Store. Wink

If she didn't take her beans to all the church socials ,or boys' ball team functions, she took the comparable dish.Holds real well and all ages eat it.
