I don't see anyone replying, and I haven't timed the run up. Not sure why that's important, but I don't think it's more than 30 min.

Another useful bit of info might be the recovery time.
Many of us have our FEC s preheated and to temp,and stabilized- before we start cooking.
If you open the door,your recovery time to 250* is only a few quick minutes.

It's even better with the new fans in my FEC100's
thanks all. im just planning how much and by when i can have bbq rdy. how much time is lost if i reopen doors to pull out meat while other meats are cooking.
I've got one of the newer FEC100's and like Smokin says it reocvers very fast. I cook ribs at 275 and after a quick door open to check for doneness the 100 is back up to temp within a few minutes.
